Catwalk show at the Queen?s 60th coronation anniversary

The rise of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II as the epitome of aristocratic royal fashion is a widely known and graciously accepted fact, and to take the sartorial choices of the 86-year-old monarch a step ahead, the 60th coronation anniversary of the queen would feature a spectacular runway show presenting all the sophisticated clothing labels preferred by HRH herself and the extended royal family. 

 

Scheduled to take place from 11th to 14th July 2013 at the lush gardens of the grand Buckingham Palace, the coronation festival would exhibit the creations from the respectable Royal Warrant Holders, who have supplied their goods or services to the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and the Prince of Wales for more than five years.

 

Bespoke tailoring companies like Gieves & Hawkes, which caters for British Army and the Royal Navy, as well as custom-made men's suits, shirts and ladies' jackets specialist Dege & Skinner along with Price Charles’s favourite sock brand Corgi would feature their latest ensembles at the gala event. 

 

Before the coronation festival, an exclusive exhibition titled ‘Fine Style: The Art of Tudor and Stuart Fashion’ displaying the portraits of the lavish costumes worn by British monarchs and their courtiers during the 16th and 17th centuries will also be organized at The Queen's Gallery, Buckingham Palace from 10th May, 2013.
