Pre SS11 Mulberry introduces the Edie

For Pre Spring Summer 2011 Mulberry introduces the Edie family; a collection of products inspired by and named after ‘Little Edie’, the star of the Grey Gardens documentary and film of the same name. Mulberry’s Edie evokes the spirit of duality, contrasting traditional style touches with modern hardware and finishes.

Edie is a hybrid of our iconic Bayswater and Alexa styles and focuses on two sizes of shoulder bag. Both feature the Mulberry signature postman’s lock, as well as the versatile top handle and detachable strap combination similar to the Alexa. The relaxed slouch and choice of finishes ensure that the bag can be worn casually from day to day, or as a stand-out luxury piece.

Edie is available in Heavy Grain leather in Powder Beige or Black, Sparkle Tweed in Oak and Patent in vibrant Electric Blue. It also comes in Haircalf in Light Peach for a luxuriously tactile and indulgent Finish. For an added seasonal touch, Edie in Sparkle Tweed in Oak and Heavy Grain in Black come with a detachable guitar-style strap, featuring a jacquard ‘rabbits and roses’ print in keeping with our Spring Summer 2011 obsession with The Secret Garden and whimsical floral inspirations.
