Mr. Tarun Tahiliani
India’s ace fashion designer Tarun Tahiliani unveiled his new bridal and occasion wear collection at the fourth edition of the recently held Tarun Tahiliani Couture Exposition in Mumbai.
Presented inside a 14-foot ‘Jewel box’, entirely made up of glass, the sixty-piece collection is a harmonious fusion of Indian craftsmanship and textile heritage with European tailored silhouettes.
The designer’s latest range of bridal and occasion wear apparels showcases season's newest trends and exquisite designs in bright jewel, citrus and classic colors.
The newly launched collection provides an eclectic mixture of tulle saris, key-hole jackets, shararas, anarkalis and lehangas in deep red and gold for women.
For men, the collection offers luscious velvet sherwanis with maroon-colored zardozi borders, paired with digitally printed sequinned stoles.
After the event, the designer spoke about the rising popularity of Indian fashion on the global front and the increasing number of young fashion designers joining the sartorial brigade.
However, the prolific designer expressed his concern over the declining quality of creations by young designers, who, in order to stay within the authorized price range and garner business, are forced to compromise on quality.
