We expected drama and a fair amount of crazy from Lady Gaga on New Years Eve, and the singer did not disappoint. It was like a representation of the 2011 Gaga fashion zeitgeist complete with incomprehensible hats, wigs and a hell of a lot of sequins. She was performing at Times Square in New York and the outfit you see on the left is what she wore while making her grand entrance. How do we even describe that hat? Queen Amidala goes to the disco? While wearing a borderline bondage silver gown. That’s what we’re sticking with. In the middle, we have a spiked black catsuit, Suit with the shoulder pads-on-steroids which is what she put on to perform on stage. And lastly, the photograph on the right is Gaga heading to her father’s new restaurant, Joanne’s, for a New Year’s Eve party. It’s what we’d like to call ‘What Marilyn Monroe would have worn in 2062.’ And then 2012 rolled in and Gaga burst into flames and rose phoenix like from the ashes … naked. We kid. But you know it might happen one day!
