DHL, the world's leading express and logistics company, is calling for emerging fashion exporters to enter the 2011 DHL Fashion Export Scholarship. In its second year, the Scholarship aims to identify Australia’s emerging fashion talent and assist them in achieving international business growth.
The 2011 DHL Fashion Export Scholarship is open to Australian fashion exporters who have been exporting for less than four years. The winner will receive a tailored export mentoring program and international freight to the value of $10,000 from DHL Express.
“DHL is a proud supporter of the Australian fashion industry and we’re excited to have the opportunity to work with some inspiring home-grown designers and assist them in reaching their international exporting potential,” said Gary Edstein, senior vice president, DHL Express Oceania.
“The clothing manufacturing industry is incredibly important and contributes over $2.9 billion to the Australian economy and export sector. The DHL Fashion Export Scholarship aims to recognise and support the fashion industry by presenting a unique opportunity for designers to receive export services and education,” said Gary Edstein, senior vice president, DHL Express Oceania.
